Even though the year just started, I think we should discuss virtual sex work in 2026. I know it seems like it’s been forever since you all have heard from me. I do still play Second Life and make money on the grid. I have had to switch up a few of my approaches, but the money is still there.
Advertising Virtual Sex Work in Second Life
The first thing most people ask me is where are the best places in Second Life to advertise. Always start at a high traffic sex sims that caters to escorts and clients such as Escort Oasis. Virtual sex workers should get at least one ad board there to get exposure. Another sim to try is Tramps. It is an escort club that offers high traffic. I get a few clients from here a week. Just because you put up a few ad boards in high traffic sims does not mean you will automatically get clients. This is why I always tell virtual sex workers to freestyle. Having a slow day? Go visit a sim and stand around. Someone is sure to message you if you have a nice-looking avatar and your profile sparks their interest.
You will spend hours online getting clients. Success won’t be automatic, but if you’re consistent, you will see results. When I was doing live classes inworld, I could tell right away who would stick with the program. I once had a class of 45 virtual sex workers, I only see about 3 members of that class online nowadays. The money may not come instantly, but it will come if you treat this like your business.
Creating Stores and Clubs For More Income
Creating a store where you sell your content such as audios and picture sets can add on a bit to your virtual sex work income. It’s not as hard to start this as some may think. You just need a small piece of commercial land, a small building, a vendor to distribute your products to customers, and a little creativity. If you do get your own content store, make sure to update it at least once a week. Many clients love audios, so fresh content will help add more money to your bank account.
Starting a strip club or another erotic entertainment venue is another way to make additional money. This can be more intense to start, depending on which route you take. If you start a strip club with staff, you’ll need to make sure you always have someone at the club so when customers come in they can be properly greeted. You will also need to pay a fair wage and make sure you get customers into the club so dancers and escorts have a reason to stay employed there. Second Life clubs usually fail because of their advertising efforts and the availability of staff.
The easiest route is a freelance club. No staff has to be readily available and virtual sex workers can come and go as they please. This option is most appealing to most escorts because they are in more control of their income. I have a freelance club that I’m currently renovating. I will create another blog post about this later.
Is Second Life Still profitable?
Yes, it is. While some popular sex sims closed down, a lot of the older sims are still around and provide a space to find and entertain clients. It can take months to get a steady clientele, depending on your approach. I say try every way you can think of to make money in virtual sex work. Start a club, create a store, start a virtual porn company! Do what it takes to have the financial freedom you desire.
